Lil Jawns Rails
THE MISSION
This self-initiated personal project is a 3D animation for Lil Jawns, a brand known for their creative skateboard rails. Created in Cinema 4D and rendered in Octane, this video features callouts highlighting the unique features of Lil Jawns skateboard rails.

Frames
Storyboard
Before building out scenes in 3D, I always start with a storyboard sketch. It's super rough, but it's important for me to refine and lock in the scenes before animating. It’s much easier to sketch out changes on paper than it is to do so later in the process.
Curb Texture
Replicating the perfect curb was crucial for this project. I aimed to recreate the curbs my friends and I love to skate. To achieve this, I added a generous amount of sauce (clear coat) and wax to give it that authentic, well-used look in Adobe Substance 3D.
The Rails
Lil Jawns creates so many unique rails, it was difficult to pick which ones to model!
